'If Adani sends money, I'll keep quiet' says Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury
Government employees in West Bengal protested against the state government's transfer policy, claiming that it was carried out as an act of revenge.
Members of the Samrajmi Samyukta Manch and the State Coordination Committee took to the streets, demanding that the transfers be cancelled. The food building's employees were also urged not to cooperate with the government. The protesters claimed that the government's actions were detrimental to the labor movement and criticized the elimination of 1400 jobs while leaving 1400 new jobs unfilled.
The BJP's government employee organization also participated in the protest.
